Recipe: Garlic Basil Balsamic Vinaigrette

When you eat paleo you tend to eat a lot of salads. Unfortunately already made dressings you buy at the store usually have a lot of crap in them, like sugar, soy sauce, dairy, crappy oils, and chemical preservatives. I usually buy Bolthouse Farms Classic Balsamic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Vinaigrette, one of the only dressings that do not have any of these ingredients. But for the sake of Whole 30 I made my own dressing. Plus it’s EXTREMELY EASY! So here’s the recipe to the dressing I just whipped up:

Garlic Basil Balsamic Vinaigrette:

½ cup basil flavored extra virgin olive oil
½ cup balsamic vinegar
4 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon herbs de Provence
½ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
I bought the basil flavored olive oil at Costco a few months ago. If you don’t have that, you can just use regular extra virgin olive oil and add 1 teaspoon of basil to the mix.

Mix or shake in a dressing container/shaker.

The dressing should be good for several weeks in the refrigerator.
